Technical Implementation Analyst - Carrier Product

About the Role

As a Technical Implementation Analyst on the Carrier Product team, you will be instrumental in translating carrier underwriting guidelines and APIs into actionable requirements for Pathpoint's platform. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Underwriting, Operations, and carrier partners to ensure our integrations are accurate, up-to-date, and seamlessly align with agent workflows. This role uniquely blends technology and insurance, requiring a deep understanding of both domains.

What We Look For

  • 2-3 years of experience as a technical analyst, implementation analyst, or business systems analyst, preferably within the insurance, financial services, or technology sectors.
  • Exceptional detail-orientation and rigor in documenting requirements, with a proven ability to produce clear specifications for engineering teams.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and tools such as Postman and Bruno; comfortable reading API documentation and validating responses.
  • Proficiency in aggregating and interpreting data from diverse sources.
  • Comfortable and adept at using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate research, requirements writing, and API analysis, with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and ensure follow-through.
  • A self-starter mentality, capable of quickly assimilating new tasks, tools, and processes.
  • Commercial insurance experience (e.g., general liability, property) is preferred.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate complex carrier underwriting guidelines and API documentation into clear, concise engineering requirements.
  • Evaluate carrier APIs against Pathpoint’s platform, identifying gaps, edge cases, and necessary field mappings prior to development.
  • Document, prioritize, and meticulously track requirements across carrier underwriting guidelines, engineering tickets, and internal knowledge bases.
  • Build and execute comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) test plans for carrier integrations, partnering with engineering to ensure builds precisely match specifications.
  • Maintain ongoing carrier integration health by proactively surfacing API issues, ingesting carrier guideline changes, and transforming them into actionable updates.
  • Collaborate effectively with Underwriting, Sales, and Operations teams to confirm that carrier business logic is accurately reflected in our agent-facing experience and to support internal workflows.
