About the Role:
As a Workforce Management Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure optimal workforce planning and scheduling at the Sales Market level. You will support Area and Store management in achieving strong sales performance through meticulously optimized scheduling. This hybrid role reports to our Controlling Manager and is based at our Toronto Support Office.

A Day in the Life:
Working at H&M means embracing variety, but a typical day involves:

  • Setting the hourly function plan, including Store Management positions, for every store in alignment with sales market goals, while adhering to the salary cost budget.
  • Overseeing the hourly function plan in collaboration with Store Management to foster strong store operations, efficiency, and exceptional staff and customer experiences.
  • Regularly monitoring sales and hours planning within stores, ensuring a cohesive alignment between store operations and market-level targets.
  • Collaborating with other Controlling teams to secure strong operational execution by synchronizing the function plan and schedules.
  • Supporting and educating stores on aligning sales planning and scheduling to enhance efficiency and guarantee a superior customer experience.
  • Working closely with Area Managers to gather and synthesize scheduling input based on store visit observations, driving continuous improvement in workforce planning practices.

Who You Are:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics, or possess equivalent experience.
  • Have 1-3 years of prior retail experience, ideally in retail management.
  • Possess 1-3 years of experience in a business analyst or finance role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to coach and counsel staff, alongside performance management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with sales and workforce planning tools, with the ability to adapt to company-specific systems.

Compensation:
Salary: $78,400
