You're not looking for a classic, monotonous lab technician job, but want to actively shape the development of detergent, cleaning, and cosmetic formulations? Then you're in the right place as a Junior Product Developer - Home & Personal Care (m/f/d) with us, because here you'll quickly take on responsibility for your own projects.

Your Main Tasks

• Develop & Optimize Formulations: Conduct practical feasibility tests for new formulation ideas for detergents, cleaners, and cosmetics, and optimize existing products.
• Lab Tests & Analytics: Independently guide your lab preparations through systematic lab tests (characterization, stability, and storage tests).
• Lab Organization: Be responsible for smooth, practical lab operations and contribute your own ideas for optimizing internal lab processes.
• Raw Material Qualification: Qualify new, innovative, or alternative raw materials together with the team.
• Interfaces & Benchmarking: Conduct technical benchmarking and performance evaluations, select external testing institutes (e.g., for Dermatest, heavy metal analyses), and commission them. Coordinate with contract manufacturers regarding quality agreements, QS parameters, and scale-up support.
• Documentation: Systematically document your results and share them within the R&D team.

• Successfully completed vocational training as a chemical/biological laboratory technician, or as a chemical/biological technical assistant (CTA/BTA), OR a completed degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetics or Food Technology, or similar.
• Ideally, you have already gained initial professional experience in product development (e.g., through internships, theses, or early career years) and ideally have initial contact with the formulation of surfactant systems or emulsions.
• A high degree of analytical thinking, as well as a self-organized, reliable, and conscientious work approach characterize you. You enjoy taking responsibility for practical lab operations, approaching complex issues solution-oriented, and are committed to precise, safe documentation of your work results.
• You are a true team player and confident in professionally and assertively coordinating with external partners and contract manufacturers.
• Proficient in MS Office/Google Suite; knowledge of SAP is a welcome plus (desirable).
• Very good German and good to fluent English skills (spoken and written) for international communication with suppliers.
