What You Do

You will take professional responsibility for our operational accounting – from ongoing bookkeeping to month-end closing preparations (HGB). Simultaneously, you will be actively involved in building and insourcing the accounting function, including the NetSuite implementation (around 2027) and process design. This role is about shaping and building, not just managing.

• Professional responsibility for accounting preparation and month-end closings – accurate, timely, and ready for audit.
• Gradual insourcing of the currently externally managed accounting.
• Significant involvement in the NetSuite implementation: process design, data migration, system logic.
• Reporting to management and our parent company (SAMY Group).
• Providing professional support and development for the accounting team.

Things You Should Know

• We are PE-financed (since 2025) – reporting requirements and process restructuring are ongoing and can be demanding at times.
• Operational involvement is a reality. The strategic component is growing but does not replace hands-on work.
• This is a career path focused on expertise, not management. You will lead through competence, not personnel responsibility.
• We work completely remotely – this is our standard practice, not a compromise.

You will receive a scope for design that few in-house roles offer: You will help build the foundation – processes and structure – for insourcing and NetSuite from the ground up. Your financial data will go directly to the management and the SAMY Group, and you will shape the automation and reporting levels. Job Requirements

What You Need

Several years of in-depth accounting experience – both hands-on in daily operations and in building and developing robust processes.

• Closing-ready according to HGB (preparation or readiness for tax advisor).
• Solid professional foundation: A completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting provides the basis – alternatively, a commercial apprenticeship with corresponding deep professional experience. The key is understanding the logic and interrelationships behind the numbers (P&L, balance sheet, double-entry bookkeeping), not just executing individual entries.
• Very good IT skills: proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, ideally SQL user skills – and mandatory experience with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite), both in process setup and operational application.
• Confident stakeholder management: You can prioritize multiple parallel requirements and handle tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Fluent German and English (company language is English).
• Confident, realistic approach to AI tools: you understand their capabilities, limitations, and how to use them efficiently and purposefully.

Nice-to-have

• Experience in an agency, scale-up, or medium-sized service provider.

Personally, we are looking for someone who can independently structure dynamic and fast-paced situations, lead professionally without being a direct superior (convince rather than command), has a high tolerance for hands-on work, and is honest about their own knowledge gaps. In the remote setup, you will work independently, structured, reliably, and results-oriented.
