Joy_ has built a live AI infrastructure that manages the entire e-commerce value chain end-to-end: sourcing, checkout, payment, fulfillment, customer care, and returns, across any online shop globally. Our Universal Purchasing Infrastructure is central to the future of AI commerce. We are currently focusing on innovating the gift card market with a product redeemable for any item from any shop.

The Role: Full-Stack Engineer

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will work across the entire gift card product, encompassing both customer-facing interfaces and backend services. You will own features from conception to production, collaborating closely with teams, leveraging AI tools for rapid iteration, and directly impacting the customer experience and backend functionality.

Tasks:

• Own features end-to-end: partner with teams to scope ideas, design architectures, and ship features, utilizing AI tools for speed.
• Develop and refine the gift card experience, from purchase to redemption.
• Build and maintain the backend services, APIs, and data models.
• Contribute to the B2B self-serve product and embeddable widgets for partners.
• Maintain codebase health through shared components, design tokens, effective testing, and performance optimization.

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience building modern, full-stack web products.
• A deep sense of product ownership and initiative.
• Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, especially in a remote, async environment.
• An elite execution mindset, utilizing modern tools (e.g., AI terminal agents) for efficiency.
• A keen eye for detail in typography, layout, and motion; comfortable navigating design tools like Figma.
• Systems-thinking approach to data models, API design, and performance.
• Pragmatic approach to quality, including testing, performance, and accessibility.
• Excellent spoken and written English. German is a plus.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with payments, e-commerce, or loyalty and rewards products.
• Familiarity with design systems or Storybook.
• Experience with experiments and event analytics.

• Core: TypeScript, Vue.js, PostgreSQL.
• Nice to haves: Effect-TS, Nuxt.js.
• AI & Developer Workflows: Git, Claude Code & Terminal Agents, Figma MCP.
• Cloud & Infrastructure (Nice to have): AWS & Kubernetes, Prometheus & OpenTelemetry.
