Werkstudent (m/f/d) - Drone Technology

Welcome to Webaro – your innovative partner in modern drone technology! Are you studying Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field and want to gain real practical experience with state-of-the-art technology alongside your studies? With us, you'll work on the maintenance, repair, and configuration of professional drone systems for industry and agriculture, gaining deep insights into electronics, embedded software, and flight control.

You don't need to be a drone expert yet – we'll train you systematically. What's important to us is technical interest, a desire to learn, and a meticulous work approach.

For our location in Eberstadt, we are looking for a Werkstudent (m/f/d) with flexible working hours that can be adapted to your study schedule (up to 20 hours/week during the semester), starting immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the maintenance, repair, and quality inspection of our drones
  • Assistance in diagnosing and analyzing faults in electronic components (motors, ESCs, flight controllers, sensors)
  • Configuration, calibration, and firmware updates of flight control systems (e.g., ArduPilot, PX4, DJI)
  • Support with software configuration and testing
  • Assistance with hardware integration of payloads (cameras, sensors), including wiring
  • Contribution to technical documentation

Qualifications

  • Current studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or similar
  • Basic technical understanding in electronics and/or programming (e.g., Python, C/C++)
  • Advantageous (not required): Initial experience with microcontrollers, robotics, model building/FPV, or embedded systems
  • High willingness to learn and enjoyment of independent learning
  • Meticulous and reliable work approach
  • Good German and basic English skills
  • Enrollment as a student for the entire duration of employment
