About the Role
As a full-time Lifecycle Communications Manager on a 12-month contract, you will report to the Senior Manager, Loyalty & Retention. This role is central to the Engagement & Retention team, driving customer communication strategies across the entire lifecycle. You will be responsible for crafting clear, engaging, and customer-focused content for various channels, managing the campaign calendar, and developing product messaging to effectively communicate value.
We are seeking a candidate who blends strong copywriting and storytelling abilities with a deep understanding of lifecycle marketing and digital customer engagement to create messaging that resonates and drives action.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver customer-centric copy across engagement and retention channels (email, SMS, push notifications, in-app, digital campaigns).
- Own and manage the communications and campaign calendar, ensuring strategic prioritization, coordination, and alignment with business objectives.
- Plan lifecycle communications for onboarding, engagement, retention, and reactivation journeys.
- Create compelling product positioning and messaging packs that clearly articulate customer value, features, and benefits.
- Collaborate with Product, CRM, and Marketing teams to ensure message consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Write clear, concise, and conversion-focused copy for digital experiences, including UX screens, onboarding flows, and customer journeys.
- Ensure all communications align with brand tone of voice, customer needs, and lifecycle strategy.
- Translate complex product or business information into simple, engaging customer messaging.
- Support campaign optimization through testing, insights, and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on digital communication trends, customer engagement best practices, and lifecycle marketing innovations.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- 5+ years of writing experience with a portfolio of examples.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills across digital and customer communication channels.
- Proven experience in planning lifecycle communications, CRM campaigns, or customer engagement programs.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Marketing, and/or CRM teams on customer-centric messaging.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Understanding of customer journeys, digital engagement, and conversion optimization principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
