About the Role

Our client has been developing and marketing future-oriented communication systems for decades, primarily used in official environments. The company's main focus is on the development, production, and distribution of solutions for secure and interference-free voice and data transmission. Specifically, fire and police departments rely on our client's "Made in Germany" products in operational use. We are looking for an experienced System Tester (m/f/d) for our client to bring the testing environment to a new level.

Responsibilities (Aufgaben)

• End-to-end responsibility for modern quality assurance and test automation.
• Further development of the testing environment, support in setting up a test center.
• Setup and operation of test pipelines.
• Ensuring robust software quality through manual and automated tests.
• Analysis, prioritization, and sustainable resolution of technical error patterns.
• Development and optimization of efficient test strategies and testing processes.
• Expansion of high-performance test automation and technical quality assurance structures.
• Active participation in the further development of stable, scalable software solutions.
• Close collaboration with development teams for continuous improvement of code quality and delivery.

Qualifications (Qualifikation)

• Several years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation.
• In-depth knowledge in the conception, implementation, and maintenance of automated tests (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Experience in setting up and operating CI/CD and test pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Good knowledge in API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Confident use of modern development tools and version control (Git).
• Experience in analyzing, prioritizing, and sustainably resolving errors.
• Know-how in developing test strategies, quality standards, and QA processes.
• Understanding of agile development methods (Scrum, Kanban) and close collaboration with development teams.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as high self-responsibility.
• Ideally, experience in setting up or further developing QA/test organizations.
• Nice-to-have: Programming skills in Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with performance and load tests.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of cloud and container technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Nice-to-have: ISTQB certification or comparable qualification.
