Position Summary

The Quality Assurance & Field Auditor is an independent operational auditor responsible for evaluating station performance across all TFG Aviation companies and service lines. This role ensures operational excellence by conducting announced and unannounced audits to assess compliance with customer expectations, contractual requirements, company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The auditor provides objective evaluations, identifies operational risks, and partners with station leadership to develop corrective action plans that enhance performance, safety, security, and service quality. This role requires extensive travel across the United States.

Essential Responsibilities

Operational Auditing

  • Conduct announced and unannounced operational audits at assigned stations.
  • Evaluate station performance using standardized audit tools and scoring methodologies.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments across all operational departments and lines of business.
  • Observe live operations during all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Validate operational execution against company standards and customer expectations.

Quality Assurance

  • Evaluate compliance with company quality standards, including aircraft appearance, cabin and exterior cleaning, cargo, passenger service, janitorial, and ground support operations.
  • Assess equipment condition, facility cleanliness, uniform compliance, professional appearance, customer service standards, operational readiness, and documentation accuracy.

Regulatory & Security Compliance

  • Audit compliance with applicable regulations, including TSA security, FAA operational requirements, OSHA workplace safety, DOT regulations, Airport Authority requirements, SIDA badge compliance, Air Operations Area (AOA) procedures, hazard communication, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Bloodborne Pathogens, Emergency response, Incident reporting, Environmental compliance (Regulated Waste), and CBP procedures.

Contract & Customer Compliance

  • Assess compliance with Customer Standard Operating Procedures, Statements of Work, Contractual service requirements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and airline-specific operational standards.
  • Evaluate customer audit readiness.

Risk Identification

  • Identify operational risks, including safety hazards, security vulnerabilities, financial exposure, compliance deficiencies, training gaps, staffing concerns, equipment deficiencies, documentation issues, customer service risks, and process failures.
  • Escalate significant findings immediately to Service Delivery Leadership.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports following each station visit.
  • Assign findings based on severity and operational risk.
  • Develop executive summaries highlighting critical issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation supporting audit findings.
  • Track corrective actions through completion.
  • Monitor recurring trends across the network.
  • Produce regional and enterprise-wide audit dashboards.

Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with operational leaders to improve station performance.
  • Recommend best practices and standardized operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Share successful practices across multiple stations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in company operational excellence projects.

Training & Coaching

  • Provide operational coaching during station visits.
  • Educate leaders on compliance expectations.
  • Reinforce company operational standards.
  • Assist with corrective action planning.
  • Support the implementation of new operational procedures.

The Quality Assurance & Field Auditor may audit any operational function, including:
Aircraft Cabin Cleaning, Aircraft Exterior Cleaning, Passenger Services, Cargo Operations, Mail Operations, Janitorial Services, Ground Support Services, Ground Service Equipment, Safety Programs, Security Programs, Human Resources Compliance, Training Compliance, Environmental Programs, Fleet & Equipment, Facilities, Operational Documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Safety, or related field, or equivalent operational experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation operations leadership experience.
  • Experience managing airport operations across multiple service lines.
  • Strong understanding of TSA, FAA, OSHA, and airport regulatory requirements.
  • Experience conducting operational inspections, audits, or compliance reviews.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required airport badges and security clearances.
  • Ability to travel up to 90% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent air travel.
