About the Role: Localization QA Game Tester
As a Localization QA Game Tester, you will be an integral part of our Localization Quality Assurance team. You'll be among the first to experience games in their fully localized form, ensuring they are free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies, and display correctly across all user interfaces. Your role is crucial in guaranteeing that games are accurately localized into the target language, providing players with an immersive and authentic experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with a global project team.
- Identify and meticulously correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language-related errors.
- Ensure strict adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
- Log detailed information about errors and issues encountered, providing constructive suggestions for improvement.
- Verify accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
- Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure the proper display and format of dates, calendars, and characters.
- Compile comprehensive reports on identified errors and bugs.
- Perform ad hoc translation tasks as needed.
- Maintain high standards of work quality, collaborate with team members, and contribute to the overall success of projects.
Our LQA team tests upcoming games across platforms including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and various mobile devices, working on top titles for leading publishers.
Requirements
- No prior experience required.
- Fluency in European Spanish is essential.
- Conversational proficiency in English.
- Strong cultural understanding of the target language (European Spanish).
- Proficient computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel.
- Robust internet research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using various software, applications, and websites is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, fostering collaboration within project teams.
- Candidate must be located within the Schengen Area.
