Your Role

As the Strategy & Operations Lead, you will be central to Cambrium's strategic and operational functions. This is a hands-on role demanding intellectual curiosity, structured thinking, and a proactive approach. You will own critical workstreams, drive them to completion, and contribute significantly to the company's growth and operational excellence. The role is dynamic and requires comfort with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

Strategic Projects & Investor Relations

  • Prepare and refine materials for investor and board meetings, including presentations and Q&A.
  • Manage the end-to-end investor process, including pipeline management and follow-up.
  • Take full ownership of high-priority cross-functional projects, from research to execution.
  • Partner with the CEO on strategic development and translating decisions into actionable plans.

Board & Governance

  • Lead the preparation of board meetings, including agenda setting, input coordination, and board pack production.
  • Track and follow up on action items from board and leadership meetings.
  • Support ad hoc governance tasks.

Internal Rhythm & Operations

  • Design and manage the company's internal operating cadence (e.g., All Hands, leadership meetings).
  • Own the preparation of internal meeting materials and ensure follow-through on decisions.
  • Develop and maintain internal processes to support a fast-growing team and proactively identify operational gaps.
  • Support people operations, including hiring and onboarding coordination.

Your Profile

  • 3-5 years of experience in an operational role within an early-stage startup, VC, consulting, or investment banking.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Strong ownership mentality and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • High attention to detail balanced with a view of the bigger picture.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and maintaining momentum.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; basic quantitative analysis and financial modelling skills.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • Genuine interest in deep tech or materials science.

Nice to Haves

  • Background in industrial biotech, materials science, or performance chemicals.
  • Previous experience with fundraising or investor relations.
