This trainee role will support senior investment managers in all aspects of the investment management process within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company to clients, potential clients, and introducers, developing business in line with strategic and financial objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of investment managers, including client reporting, periodic valuations, ad-hoc transactions, and performance monitoring.
  • Resolve client queries via telephone or letter, with assistance from qualified team members.
  • Maintain the highest standards of compliance in accordance with company obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to the company's culture of compliance and reflect company policy in service levels.
  • Maintain all necessary records in the event of any material deviation.
  • Provide back-up support for the usual dealer once fully trained and assessed as competent.
  • Develop professional expertise through on-the-job training, formal training, and professional qualifications.
  • Familiarize and abide by the company’s value statement and policy regarding Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
  • Familiarize and abide by company policy on Client Data Security.
  • Be fully familiar with and comply with the company’s Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Be fully familiar with the company’s complaint handling procedures.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as may be required.
  • Be fully familiar with Health & Safety Policy rules and regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with the Fit and Proper Test for Approved Person (FIT) and all Principles applying to approved persons in the Statements of Principle and Code of Practice for Approved Persons (APER).
  • Adhere to consumer duty.

Requirements

  • School leaver or graduate interested in working within the wealth management industry.
  • Team player with a client-focused approach.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Numerate and comfortable working with IT applications and processing data.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who can work on own initiative.
  • Inquisitive with a positive attitude towards learning and developing new skills.
  • Good communicator, both orally and in writing.
  • Desire to study for professional qualifications.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
