The position is central to the operation and optimization of Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM MCM), software packaging with PSADT, and Microsoft 365. It combines deep technical knowledge with automation expertise to drive the evolution of the Modern Workplace in a complex IT infrastructure.

About the Role

The Senior System Administrator (m/f/d) for Enterprise Client Management will be responsible for the operation and administration of the client management environment based on Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM / SCCM). This includes software distribution and deployment control, development and maintenance of software packages using PSADT, and ensuring client operations through monitoring, patch management, and continuous environment stabilization. The role also involves troubleshooting, incident management in 2nd and 3rd level support, and further development of the client platform through optimization, automation, and close coordination with architecture, VDI, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Operation and administration of the client management environment based on Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM / SCCM).
• Software distribution and deployment control, including release, feature, and update management for Windows clients.
• Development and maintenance of software packages with the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT) as standard.
• Ensuring client operation through monitoring, patch management, and continuous environment stabilization.
• Troubleshooting and incident management in 2nd and 3rd level support, including sustainable error resolution.
• Further development of the client platform through optimization, automation, and close coordination with architecture, VDI, and security teams.

Requirements

• Completed IT training or degree, plus several years of relevant professional experience in Enterprise Client Management.
• Long-standing experience in operating complex Windows client infrastructures with several thousand end devices (Enterprise Client Management & Modern Workplace Administration).
• Very good, current knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM / SCCM), software deployment, and client lifecycle management.
• Very good knowledge of PSADT and PowerShell for automation and standardized software distribution and packaging.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft technologies and infrastructure components such as Active Directory, Azure / Entra ID, Group Policies, and Windows Client OS.
• Experience in Microsoft 365, network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and IT operations processes according to ITIL.
• Strong team spirit and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work.
