Job Description
RPI Consultants is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven Practice Director of Workday Services to lead the growth and expansion of our emerging Workday consulting practice. This role is critical for establishing and scaling Workday support services and consulting capabilities, with an initial focus on supporting organizations in Healthcare and the Public Sector. Leveraging RPI’s decades of ERP, automation, and digital transformation expertise, you will define the vision, go-to-market strategy, service offerings, and build the team necessary for success. You will partner with executive leadership to foster the Workday partnership, drive practice growth, expand client relationships, and build a high-performing organization grounded in trusted partnerships and delivery excellence.
The ideal candidate possesses deep Workday consulting experience, strong executive presence, and a proven ability to grow consulting services through business development and talent acquisition. You will utilize an established professional network to recruit top talent and build a scalable, client-focused practice capable of delivering exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice Leadership & Growth Strategy: Lead the development and expansion of RPI’s Workday consulting practice, focusing initially on post-production support. Define strategic growth initiatives, market positioning, and service offerings. Partner with executive leadership on business development strategies for healthcare and public sector industries. Identify opportunities for cross-selling within existing client relationships.
- Client Engagement & Consulting Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing strategic guidance throughout the Workday lifecycle. Lead client-facing engagements, ensuring high customer satisfaction and delivery quality. Collaborate with sales, delivery, and technical teams to scope engagements and develop proposals. Build long-term client partnerships through proactive account management and consultative problem-solving.
- Talent Acquisition & Team Development: Recruit, attract, and retain high-performing Workday consulting professionals. Represent the RPI culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and client service. Mentor and develop consulting leaders and team members. Establish resource planning strategies aligned with practice growth and client demand.
- Innovation & Industry Leadership: Contribute to RPI’s innovation in ERP transformation and digital modernization. Identify market opportunities and evolving customer needs. Represent RPI at industry events and strategic discussions. Promote thought leadership in Workday transformation and managed services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in ERP consulting, professional services, or enterprise application leadership, with significant Workday ecosystem experience.
- Proven experience building, growing, or leading Workday consulting or managed services practices.
- Strong understanding of Workday support models, post-production services, and enterprise transformation programs.
- Experience supporting clients transitioning from legacy ERP platforms (e.g., Infor CloudSuite).
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, developing consulting services, and expanding strategic client relationships.
- Established professional network within the Workday consulting ecosystem, with a track record of recruiting and developing talent.
- Experience serving healthcare, public sector, or highly regulated organizations is preferred.
- Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Strong operational leadership capabilities (forecasting, delivery management, resource planning).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale services in a growth-oriented environment.
