About the Dashboard Platform Team:

Our mission is to empower all developers at Algolia to ship frontend features to our customer-facing Dashboard, focusing on delivering a great and consistent customer experience at scale. This involves:

• Working on core features of the Algolia Dashboard.
• Building new services to power our infrastructure platform, enabling quick and autonomous deployment for all teams using Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
• Developing tooling, features, and guidelines that enhance Developer Experience.
• Collaborating with all developers to support the adoption and usage of our tools.

We have ambitious goals and are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong focus on infrastructure automation. You will lead projects autonomously, plan strategically for the company's global benefit, and orchestrate changes across projects and teams. You'll join a newly formed team of two senior software engineers and a manager, all dedicated to building a great experience.

Your Role:

• Be a key contributor to the operation and deployment of all features of the Dashboard Platform.
• Take ownership, research, explore, and deliver world-class developer experiences.
• Share knowledge on software engineering, testing, and deployment best practices.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of modern infrastructure management with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform on cloud providers (AWS, GCP, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI coding agents.
• Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices.
• A strong passion for Developer Experience.
• Well-spoken and written English skills.
• Preference for candidates with experience at our current stage and beyond (over 10,000 customers, $50-200M ARR range, high growth, significant internal infrastructure development).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Go and Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of modern web development (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML & CSS).

Compensation:

• Base Salary Pay Range: €67.500—€94.000 EUR
