Senior Field Delivery Engineer (FDE) - AI Services
Company: Caylent
Location: Fully Remote (Canada, US, Latin America)
Base Salary Range: $136,000 - $216,000 per year
Company Description
Caylent is a cloud-native services company helping organizations leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS). We offer comprehensive AWS services including workload migrations, modernization, cloud-native application development, DevOps, data engineering, security, and compliance. At Caylent, our people come first. We are a global, fully remote company fostering technological curiosity and celebrating diverse cultures.
The Mission
Caylent's Anthropic Business Unit is a dedicated AI services practice, Anthropic's first pure-play delivery partner. We focus on production-grade engagements including agents, data products, AI-augmented operations, and workforce transformation. Senior FDEs independently manage their accounts from discovery through close, owning the full relationship, scope, architecture, build, and success of the engagement.
We hire into two specializations:
- Technology-Workforce FDEs: Run solo technical engagements in engineering and IT organizations, owning architecture decisions and LLM-native delivery end-to-end.
- Operational FDEs: Lead single-function AI adoption programs across business workforces, focusing on persona discovery, role-specific enablement, and workflow automations.
Your Assignment

- Make and stand behind architecture and build decisions appropriate to the client’s environment and constraints.
- Independently run discovery, architecture reviews, and stakeholder interviews; translate ambiguous problems into scoped, deliverable work.
- Identify and manage scope creep; surface risks before they become problems.
- Identify and surface expansion opportunities.
- Transfer lasting capability through documented, runnable, maintainable software or automations.
- Contribute IP back to the practice after each engagement (patterns, templates, reusable components).
Your Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering or technical delivery experience, with significant time in embedded or client-facing roles.
- Proven solo account delivery experience: evidence of owning a client relationship from kickoff through close without supervision.
- Hands-on depth in one or more of the following: LLM application development, cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred), backend systems at scale, or enterprise business automation.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent technical decisions and manage delivery quality within client environments.
- Strong communicator: precise with engineers, clear and confident with VP-level leadership, adapting depth without losing accuracy.
- High tolerance for ambiguity; consistently delivers value before all requirements are defined.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building production AI systems (RAG pipelines, agents, fine-tuned models, LLM-native applications).
- Hands-on experience with Claude, AWS Bedrock, or equivalents.
- Background in consulting, systems integration, or professional services.
- Familiarity with SOW-based delivery and scope management.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or equivalent).

- Experience designing and running AI enablement programs for non-technical business audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Zapier, Power Automate, Airtable, or similar; familiarity with enterprise systems like Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow.
- Track record of working cross-functionally.
