About the Role:
As an Associate, Total Quality Management, you will work cross-functionally with business and technical Oscar stakeholders, representing the department's needs in company-wide strategic initiatives and in solving business problems related to internal processes. You will lead the design, optimization, and implementation of processes, improvements, and platforms for operations to achieve organizational goals. This involves collecting and documenting business requirements, building and managing project plans, documenting key project decisions, managing project governance, and applying frameworks.

You will also analyze data, develop and communicate risk mitigation strategies, and manage these tasks across disparate initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously. You will report to the Associate Director, Quality.

Work Location:
Tempe, Arizona office. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office per week. Thursdays are mandatory in-office days for team meetings and events; other office days are flexible.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations and projects, including creating project plans, engaging stakeholders, and managing relationships.
  • Evaluate departmental performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics; assist in developing departmental metrics and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dashboards.
  • Perform trend and variance analysis to identify performance drivers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder teams to ensure audit forecasts align with business objectives.
  • Formulate proactive implementation, communication, and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation.
  • Apply strong analytical and modeling skills to solve complex business problems.
  • Analyze data to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Mentor team members and promote professional development.
  • Support other strategic projects as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of work experience in operations and/or health insurance.
  • 2+ years of experience using data software such as Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, or other data analytics tools.
  • 2+ years of experience with end-to-end project management in a cross-functional environment.
  • 2+ years of experience administering operational, quality, or analytics platforms, including requirements gathering, workflow documentation, vendor evaluation support, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience managing, presenting, and owning stakeholder management.
  • 2+ years of experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints.

Bonus Points:

  • A bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of commensurate experience.

Pay Transparency:

  • Base Pay: $87,188 - $114,434 per year.
  • Eligible for employee benefits, Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, and annual performance bonuses.
