About the Role:

Glean is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Product Manager to define and build our Growth product area. This role is at the intersection of product-led growth (PLG), platform activation, off-surface engagement, and overall product growth strategy. You will be responsible for transforming initial interest into sustained, expanding usage by designing the loops, surfaces, and experiences that drive activation, retention, and organic expansion.

Working closely with the Product lead and cross-functional partners in engineering, design, data, marketing, and go-to-market teams, you will identify high-leverage growth opportunities, bring structure to ambiguous spaces, and translate growth concepts into measurable product experiences. As a lean product team member, you will have a significant role in shaping both the product roadmap and the team itself.

This role is ideal for individuals with 5+ years of experience, a deep understanding of PLG and growth mechanics, a passion for AI, and granular product implementation skills, including designing user interfaces, onboarding flows, and experiments.

What You Will Do:

  • Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Growth, translating company vision into specific bets across activation, retention, and expansion, informed by data and customer behavior.
  • Own the PLG motion end-to-end, from acquisition and onboarding through activation, habit formation, and self-serve expansion, designing loops that scale individual adoption to team and org-wide usage.
  • Build platform-level growth capabilities such as referrals, invitations, notifications, in-product education, and lifecycle messaging that compound across surfaces.
  • Drive off-surface growth by integrating Glean into users' existing workflows via browser extensions, email, Slack, Teams, and mobile applications.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and data teams to translate concepts into well-scoped products and experiments with clear user flows, instrumentation, and measurable outcomes.
  • Foster a rigorous experimentation and measurement culture, defining key metrics, instrumenting the funnel, and running A/B tests.
  • Prioritize customer needs and execute efficiently, balancing long-term platform opportunities with urgent user pain points and company priorities.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market, marketing, solutions, and support teams to ensure the growth strategy aligns with user adoption patterns.
  • Bring a high bar for product craft by specifying detailed onboarding flows, UI behavior, and adoption paths.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of owning and shipping growth, activation, or PLG product areas in B2B SaaS, consumer, AI, or platform products.
  • Deep fluency in growth mechanics (funnels, activation, retention, virality, lifecycle) and a data-driven, experimentation-guided approach.
  • Strong product sense and granular product thinking, comfortable bridging strategy and detailed execution.
  • Deep interest in AI and enterprise software, thriving in ambiguous spaces.
  • Excellent communication skills, ownership, initiative, and a collaborative, growth mindset.
  • Mission-first attitude, measuring success by product and team outcomes, and excited to help customers accelerate their AI adoption journey.

Location:

  • Hybrid: 4 days a week in our San Francisco office.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $175,000 - $280,000 annually. Compensation is determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Variable compensation and equity may be available.
  • Benefits Package: Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Vision, and Dental coverage, generous time-off policy, and 401k plan contributions.
  • Additional Perks: Home office improvement stipend, annual education and wellness stipends, regular company events, and healthy daily lunches.

AI-First Mindset at Glean:

AI fluency is core to our work. As part of the interview process, you'll complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion to assess your approach to designing and using AI for impact. Prior Glean experience is not required.
