AML/KYC Compliance Specialist

About the Role:

As an AML/KYC Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring robust compliance and risk management within our operations. You will be instrumental in managing investor onboarding, periodic reviews, and providing expert AML/KYC guidance across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage investor AML/KYC onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring files are complete, monitored, and escalated as necessary, applying a risk-based approach in line with company policy.
• Provide AML/KYC expertise across departments, acting as a point of contact for stakeholders (Clients, Directors, Compliance, Transfer Agent, Fund teams) and ensuring effective communication of regulatory information.
• Supervise and support team members, reviewing KYC files as a second line of defense, distributing tasks, setting action plans, and driving efficiency through new tools, governance models, and best practices.
• Handle regulatory and audit requirements, preparing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), responding to AML questionnaires, supporting internal/external audits, and maintaining documented AML programs and procedures.
• Contribute to knowledge development by advising management on AML/legal matters, conducting training for new joiners and advanced sessions on regulations, and fostering a strong first line of defense culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Economics or Finance.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in AML/KYC or Compliance is a significant asset.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in any other language is considered an advantage.
• Self-motivated team player.
