About Us

We are expanding across Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru. We are looking for an Investigator Grants Associate to help build the foundation of our project team supporting site payment operations in Brazil.

About the Role

The Investigator Grants Associate II position is a key member of the project team, providing grant administration processing and financial support to the Project Team and Finance Teams of Precision’s clients. This role requires a detail-oriented, meticulous candidate with advanced organizational skills, capable of handling large volumes of confidential financial information in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Serve as a financial member of the Project Team to contribute towards timely, efficient, and accurate preparation and tracking of site payments.
  • Review the financial section of the Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) to prepare the tracking workbook for site payments.
  • Maintain advance balance tracking to ensure sufficient prepaid funds for site payments.
  • Collaborate with Project Directors and Project Managers to guide population of the site payment workbook.
  • Ensure the investigator site payment workbook accurately calculates all financial fields.
  • Prepare the site payment package for Project Director/Project Manager review and approval.
  • Communicate approved payments based on CTA terms and conditions to the Finance Department for processing.
  • Prepare Aggregate Spend (Sunshine Act) Medicare/Medicaid (MMSE) reporting as applicable.
  • Prepare site payment reconciliations.
  • Maintain the investigator grant dedicated mailbox.
  • Coach and mentor teammates on the Investigator Grants Team.
  • Perform ad hoc financial tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager, Global Investigator Grants.
  • Provide support to the Project Team by managing the Investigator Grants pass-through budget.
  • Collect data pertaining to patient activity at each site to:
  • Create accurate client accruals.
  • Pay sites based on Fully Executed Clinical Trial Agreements.
  • Project costs to monitor overall budget health.
  • Communicate with sites and clients via email to resolve inquiries.
  • Exhibit self-motivation, detail orientation, and the ability to work and plan independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Deliver on commitments, understand service culture, and foster positive interactions with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • 4-year degree or local country equivalent.
  • 3 years of Clinical Research Experience.
  • Prior Accounts Payable experience in global payments.
  • Professional working proficiency in English required.

Other Required:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to drive and meet critical deadlines.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and communicate financial results.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and process-driven.

Preferred:

  • Investigator Payment Specialist, Senior background.
  • Exposure to investigator contracts and budgets.

Skills

  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite products.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
  • Proactive communication style.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Competencies

  • Working knowledge of Excel for tracker maintenance.
  • Resolves payment-related issues and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines with little management support.
  • High self-motivation, ability to work and plan independently and in a team.
  • Motivates other project team members to meet financial timelines and project goals.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement and proactive process efficiency.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, punctuality, and ability to deliver on commitments.
  • Communicates professionally, clearly, and concisely.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of financial and confidential data in a highly organized manner.
  • Practical knowledge of IT tools and systems used by the Finance Department.
