Project Director (m/f/d) - International Event Agency

Your Day with Us

You start not in execution, but where customer requirements are translated into effective solutions. A customer approaches you with a challenge – perhaps still vague, perhaps already concrete. You listen, ask the right questions, and quickly grasp what's truly important. Together with your team, you develop a clear solution approach. You combine strategy, creativity, and feasibility to form a compelling story. You guide the client, team, and project safely through pitching, conception, and implementation, ensuring that a good idea becomes a solution that works – creative, relevant, and economically viable.

Your Contribution in an International Event Agency:

As a Project Director, you will take overall responsibility for complex live communication projects – from initial needs assessment to successful implementation. Your diverse roles include:

  • Consultant: Understand clients' business and communication goals, identify unspoken needs, and translate them into clear tasks for interdisciplinary teams. Advise at eye level, provide orientation, and develop viable solutions together with the client.
  • Bridge Builder: Lead pitches and proposal processes – content-wise and operationally. Structure tasks, develop convincing approaches with your team, and integrate strategy, creativity, feasibility, and budget into a coherent overall story. Present confidently, argue clearly, and build trust.
  • Orchestrator: Lead interdisciplinary teams from consulting, creation, production, and project management. Brief clearly, constructively challenge in the interest of the task and target group, and ensure all participants work towards a common goal. Maintain an overview of priorities, decision paths, and the big picture at all times.
  • Person of Responsibility: Take responsibility for quality, timings, resources, and economic success. Make decisions even under uncertainty, handle risks professionally, and steer projects safely through complex requirements and stakeholder structures.
  • Driver: You are neither a pure implementer nor a creative director. While senior project managers plan and manage projects professionally, you are additionally responsible for content leadership: advising clients at a senior level, developing viable solutions, guiding creative quality, and leading teams to deliver convincing and economically viable results.

Your Strengths – For Us and Our Clients:

  • Several years of experience in managing demanding projects within an agency for live communication, events, or brand experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex pitches.
  • Understanding of strategic contexts, creative processes, and operational implementation, with the ability to connect them seamlessly. Confident in interdisciplinary teams and providing clear direction to experienced colleagues.
  • Accustomed to working with senior client stakeholders and providing confidence even in challenging situations.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, and confidence in presentation and moderation – in German and ideally in English.
