Talent Associate

FutureSight🌍 Remote WorldwideEstimated: $80,000 - $120,000

Talent Associate at FutureSight

About FutureSight

FutureSight is a venture studio that co-founds and funds B2B AI software companies. We provide ideas, early validation, capital, and an embedded team to the company-creation process. Our leadership combines experienced builders and operators with institutional investors, providing our ventures with a strong foundation from day zero.

We are growing rapidly and hiring a Talent Associate to help us identify the individuals who will build the next generation of AI companies with us.

About the Role

Talent is the most critical ingredient in venture building. In this role, you will lead recruitment and talent development for both FutureSight's core team and the ventures we co-create. You will work closely with our Studio partners and early-stage founders to source top-tier talent, establish repeatable talent processes, and build teams from the ground up.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Toronto.

What You'll Do

  • Talent Sourcing: Lead founder and operator searches across the Studio and ventures. Utilize outbound strategies, referrals, events, and content to identify candidates who may not actively apply through job boards. Maintain the talent CRM as a dynamic resource, not a repository for inactive leads.
  • Build Scalable Processes: Help transition one-off hires into repeatable processes, including scorecards, interview kits, and sourcing playbooks. Track funnel metrics to optimize and accelerate future searches.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in recruiting, sourcing, talent acquisition, or a related role, ideally with exposure to startups, VCs, or venture studios.
  • Sharp judgment regarding people; the ability to discern candidates who interview well from those who will truly drive results.
  • A genuine interest in the startup ecosystem.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an empathetic, curious, and direct approach.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple searches concurrently without losing track of details.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, as hiring needs may not always be clearly defined from the outset of a search.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience at a recruiting firm, early-stage VC, accelerator, or venture studio.
  • Exposure to B2B SaaS or AI startups.
  • A personal network within the Toronto or broader North American startup ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with DEI hiring practices.

Why Join Us

  • Be at the forefront of the company-creation process, meeting founders before they officially launch.
  • Work directly with Studio partners and the Head of Talent, gaining visibility from day one.
  • A clear career path towards becoming a Talent Partner as the Studio grows.
  • Competitive compensation with equity upside in the Studio and the ventures we build.
  • Hybrid, Toronto-based role offering the autonomy to perform your job effectively.
