Stash🌍 Remote WorldwideEstimated: $80,000 - $120,000

Product Manager at Stash

About Stash

Stash exists to democratize financial advice, offering investing, banking, and personalized guidance in one app for everyday Americans to invest and save with confidence.

About the Role

Stash is hiring a Product Manager to shape the in-app experiences that fulfill our promise of guiding customers on what to invest in, how much and how often, and what steps to take next.

You will focus on the user-facing elements where customers build trust with Stash, including clear guidance, habit-building automation, understandable subscription value, and support during market volatility or life events. You will collaborate closely with a Principal PM, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing teams.

You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, fintech, and go-to-market execution, refining a live product, incorporating customer feedback, and balancing near-term commercial needs with long-term platform maturity.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the delivery of key initiatives on the Engagement roadmap, focusing on in-app product experiences across investing, banking, and financial guidance.
  • Write Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) for Design and Engineering teams, collaborating on flows, scope, and trade-offs.
  • Utilize data and customer feedback to define success metrics, evaluate launches, and iterate on product features.
  • Ship products in a fast-paced, highly regulated consumer fintech environment, partnering with compliance and legal teams to manage risk while maintaining agility.
  • Leverage AI tools in daily Product Management tasks, such as drafting PRDs, synthesizing feedback, and exploring data and options.
  • Maintain alignment with your manager, team, and stakeholders on progress, risks, and decisions.
  • Receive direct mentorship from a Principal PM and gain exposure to strategy, experimentation, and cross-team product thinking.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years in product management.
  • Experience shipping products for a consumer (D2C) audience, with the ability to articulate user and business impact.
  • Genuine curiosity about customers; actively seek insights from support tickets, reviews, research, and direct conversations to inform product decisions.
  • Comfortable defining success metrics, analyzing results, and adapting strategies based on data.
  • Ability to prioritize competing opportunities by evaluating customer value, business impact, and effort, and clearly explaining the associated trade-offs.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially when dealing with ambiguous scope.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership with engineering, design, and stakeholders.
  • Experience using AI in your PM workflow today, or a strong eagerness to adopt it at Stash.
  • Self-motivated, curious, analytical, and eager to learn.

Gold Stars:

  • Background in fintech, investing, or banking.
  • Experience working on products focused on habits or automation.
  • Experience in a regulated consumer environment, working with compliance and legal to ship responsibly.
  • Proficiency with A/B testing and product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Looker).
