About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our Infrastructure team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the underlying systems, reliability, and scalability of Zapier's platform. You will guide a team of talented engineers to build and maintain the foundation upon which Zapier operates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of infrastructure engineers.
• Define and execute the technical strategy for Zapier's infrastructure.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Zapier's platform.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of core infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to align on technical priorities.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in engineering leadership and management.
• Proven track record of managing infrastructure teams and projects.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and site reliability engineering (SRE).
• Experience with large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
