CAD/PLM System Administrator (m/f/d)

About the Role

This role goes far beyond classic application support. You will take responsibility for business-critical CAD/PLM systems and act as a central interface between Engineering, IT, and business departments. You will not only ensure stable operation but also actively shape the further development of digital engineering processes, system landscapes, and integrations in a highly complex technical environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the operation, administration, and further development of CAD, PLM, and adjacent CAM applications within a complex system landscape.
• Taking over technical and functional application responsibility, including interfaces and system integrations.
• Managing and prioritizing tasks in ongoing operations and ensuring stable and efficient system performance.
• Serving as the central point of contact for functional and technical questions from business and IT.
• Processing, evaluating, and implementing change requests, including technical documentation.
• Responsibility for 2nd-level support and close collaboration with 1st-level support, external service providers, and manufacturer support (3rd level).
• Analyzing business requirements and translating them into sustainable technical solution concepts, including feasibility and system impact analyses.

Your Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.
• Several years of experience in application support, IT system administration, or in the engineering IT environment.
• Very good understanding of CAD/PLM systems; experience with tools like Creo, CATIA, or Windchill is an advantage.
• Experience with system changes, releases, upgrades, tests, and application lifecycles.
• Ability to translate complex functional requirements into structured technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business departments, IT organizations, and external partners.
• Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Good English language skills, both written and spoken.
