Job Description

This strategic leadership role combines business ownership with data-driven influence, crucial for steering the data strategy and leveraging analytics to provide actionable insights across the organization. As a Director, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision-making, improve business processes, and apply data and insights to drive business activities.

This role involves storytelling through data by translating complex analytics into actionable insights and narratives that resonate with stakeholders at all levels, while proactively identifying key data trends to influence business goals. You will drive value and foster a culture of data literacy and continuous improvement to empower the organization to achieve its strategic objectives.

You will engage with functional leaders while leading a team of professionals to develop comprehensive analytics roadmaps, guide the adoption of data-driven practices, and ensure the delivery of high-value analytics products, all aimed at achieving our objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Envision and articulate the overarching strategy for data and analytics within OneHub, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving digital transformation.
  • Lead the development of integrated data and analytics roadmaps and develop business cases with respective funding in collaboration with the BTS Data Office, to set the direction for capability enhancement.
  • Oversee the translation of business needs into data and analytics solutions, ensuring data and analytics delivery aligns with stakeholder expectations and adds value to OneHub operations.
  • Champion the adoption and utilization of data assets and analytics products, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
  • Direct the governance of data processes, establishing maintenance routines, quality standards, and reporting mechanisms to ensure ongoing data integrity.
  • Envision and maintain the infrastructure necessary for advanced OneHub analytics, including dashboards, applications, and other enabling tools.
  • Actively participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and agile ceremonies to drive alignment on data product priorities for each release.
  • Monitor and report on the health and value of data assets, institute improvements and best practices to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.
  • Provide visionary leadership for the data and analytics teams, nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and encouraging professional growth.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture within the data and analytics teams, ensuring they are equipped to meet current and future challenges. Build positive culture and develop team members while overseeing the department. Monitor team workload, guide team through complex work issues, and answer questions. Interview, hire, and recommend salary adjustments for team members as needed. Collaborate with team members to establish performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and assist with succession planning.

Location

Hybrid position in our North Chicago site. We expect 3 days in the office plus 2 days remote.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or related business or operations function.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing senior internal business and functional leaders.
  • Proven expertise in data analytics and strategic capability development in an Operations function.
  • Experience developing strategic roadmaps for digital transformation and leading adoption cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
  • We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
  • This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive programs.
