Lead Paid Search / SEA (m/f/d) - 100% Remote

As an independent digital marketing agency with in-house technology development, we view Paid Search as a central component of modern growth strategies. As the Lead Paid Search / SEA (m/f/d), you will take on the technical leadership of our Paid Search area. You will develop strategies, set standards, coach colleagues, and ensure we deliver operational excellence while consistently elevating Paid Search to the next level.
This is a 100% remote role with genuine scope for impact: you won't just optimize campaigns, but will help shape how modern Paid Search is conceived, implemented, and developed within our agency.
Aufgaben (Responsibilities)
- Provide technical leadership for our Paid Search area and take responsibility for complex, international client accounts.
- Develop modern Paid Search and full-funnel strategies – data-driven, cross-channel, and focused on sustainable growth.
- Translate strategic goals into clear priorities for operational execution, ensuring resources are deployed where they have the greatest impact.
- Foster a strong testing and learning culture: with hypotheses, experiments, clear learnings, and concrete recommendations.
- Evaluate new platform features, formats, automation, and AI possibilities, transforming them into scalable standards for the team and clients.
- Advise clients and internal stakeholders as a strategic sparring partner for performance, growth, and development.
- Set technical standards for methods, quality, account structures, and strategic approaches in Paid Search.
- Coach and develop colleagues technically, strengthening the team in daily operations.
- Effectively contribute our Paid Search expertise in pitches, client presentations, and internal exchange formats.
Qualifikation (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Paid Search, SEA, or Search Advertising.
- Strategic understanding of performance marketing, business goals, data, and digital growth levers.
- Experience with complex account structures, automation, Smart Bidding, Performance Max, and modern search setups.
- Analytical thinking: ability to identify patterns, set clear priorities, and derive concrete action recommendations.
- Testing mindset: ability to develop hypotheses, test systematically, and continuously improve accounts.
- Confident in client consulting, sparring, and presentations.
- Structured, self-directed work approach.
- Fluent German (C2) language skills; English skills are a plus.
