Job Overview
The Digital Merchandising Specialist plays a central role in shaping Mejuri's digital experience. This role requires a blend of systems thinking and storytelling, with the ability to analyze data patterns and understand customer journeys. You will own the day-to-day execution of site merchandising across our web channel, translating campaign strategy into compelling, conversion-driven on-site experiences. You are comfortable pulling performance reports and making judgment calls on content and product merchandising.
This role sits within the Digital Merchandising team and reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Merchandising.
What You'll Do:
Campaign Planning & Execution:
- Partner with the Digital Merchandising Manager to execute seasonal and campaign strategies, planning on-site experiences using our established brand framework.
- Serve as the dedicated merchandising owner for assigned campaigns, attending cross-functional briefing meetings to define asset, copy, and creative needs for site execution.
- Build campaign landing pages and curate product assortments that balance brand priorities with customer intent, ensuring a seamless path to conversion.
- Anticipate execution needs ahead of campaign launches, proactively flagging asset gaps, scheduling conflicts, or merchandising opportunities to cross-functional partners.
Data-Informed Recommendation & Optimization:
- Monitor everyday web KPIs (conversion rate, click-through rate, add-to-cart) to identify optimization opportunities and inform future campaign execution.
- Use a data-backed approach to make recommendations, presenting clear business cases for product placement, sorting logic, and content choices.
- Conduct regular audits of campaign performance to identify friction points and apply standard A/B testing frameworks to validate merchandising hypotheses.
- Pull and interpret data from site analytics and session-recording tools to understand how execution choices impact the customer journey.
Analytical Thinking & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Identify patterns in site performance (e.g., category dips, underperforming placements) and propose data-supported solutions.
- Provide clear, structured rationale for merchandising decisions to cross-functional partners (Marketing, Creative, UX).
- Collaborate with Product and UX teams to support personalization and site testing initiatives, ensuring merchandising needs are represented.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- 2–4 years of experience in digital merchandising, eCommerce, or a related analytical role, ideally within a DTC or retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute campaign-aligned merchandising strategies.
- Strong analytical foundation: comfortable with site analytics tools (Google Analytics or equivalent) and experienced in building and interpreting performance reports.
- Proven track record of making data-informed decisions independently.
- Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, especially when presenting insights or recommendations.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (Shopify or similar), CMS tools, and merchandising or search tools is a strong asset.
- An understanding of, or genuine curiosity about, the intersection of brand, product, and customer experience.
Benefits at Mejuri (for full-time employees):
- A minimum of four weeks vacation, plus personal days and three religious/cultural observance days.
- Hybrid work model for all corporate roles.
- ‘Mejuri Passport’ allowing employees who meet specific criteria to work in other locations for one month per year.
- Comprehensive medical and dental benefits, including mental health coverage, and generous personal and sick days.
- Parental leave salary top-up (up to 80%) and a personalized return-to-work plan.
- A generous product discount.
Note: Benefits apply to full-time employees.
