Lead Deployment Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Deployment Engineer to join our Support and Deployment team. This blended leadership role involves overseeing a team of field deployment engineers and remote technical support specialists. Your first 90 days will be hands-on, immersing you in ticket resolution, deployments, and understanding our operations from the inside.

About the Role

As a Lead Deployment Engineer, you will lead and mentor a team responsible for deploying and supporting Mashgin's innovative technology across various locations. You'll be the go-to expert, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement of our deployment systems and processes.

What You’ll Do:

• Mentor and develop team members, providing coaching and direct feedback.
• Become the go-to expert on Mashgin's hardware, software, and deployment systems.
• Own and improve standard operating procedures.
• Serve as a conduit between the team and cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, vendors).
• Travel up to 25% to support new location launches and assist customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in a lead or management role with at least 6 direct reports, ideally in a technical, field operations, or customer support environment.
• Hands-on experience and leadership credibility derived from practical application.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members, including constructive conversations.
• Comfortable with up to 25% travel, including occasional last-minute deployments.
• Self-starter capable of making sound decisions independently.
• Based in or near a major airport in the West Coast or Central time zone (Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area are preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building knowledge bases, internal documentation, or training resources.
• Familiarity with field deployment operations, vendor coordination, and working across time zones.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong technical ability (installing drivers, diagnosing systems, building PCs).
