IT Support Specialist / IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

Our client in Munich is looking for an IT Support Specialist / IT System Administrator to provide local and remote support for users and ensure the stable operation of IT workstations. This role is crucial for maintaining end-user devices and workplace environments.

About the Role

As an IT Support Specialist / IT System Administrator, you will manage end-user devices and workplace environments, including notebooks, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and video conferencing systems, adhering to IT and security policies. You will also support IT Asset Management, handle hardware logistics, and act as a liaison between users, support levels, and external IT service providers to coordinate issue resolution and participate in the introduction of new IT services and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide local and remote support for users and ensure the stable operation of IT workstations.
• Manage end-user devices and workplace environments (notebooks, desktops, printers, mobile devices, video conferencing systems) in compliance with IT and security policies.
• Support IT Asset Management, including hardware receiving, inventory, documentation, lifecycle management, and preparation of hardware.
• Coordinate troubleshooting of issues and participate in the introduction of new IT services and technologies as an interface between users, 2nd/3rd-level support, and external IT service providers.
• Create and maintain operational and work instructions, and participate in IT and digitalization projects.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker for System Integration (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT System Administrator, IT Support Engineer, IT Service Technician, IT Helpdesk Employee).
• Ideally, several years of professional experience in IT Support, User Support, or 2nd-Level Support, with familiarity in service-oriented support processes.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, the Microsoft 365 environment, and client/workplace support.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and service orientation.
• Very good German and good English language skills.
