The Role

Are you a strong communicator, enjoy phone calls, and have a knack for customer interactions? Do you want deep insight into the regulatory world of a global tech company and actively help drive an important project in Germany? As a Working Student – Compliance, you will be the voice of our merchant compliance team for the German market. Wolt operates under a regulated E-Money license, making partner identification and verification (KYC/KYB) a top priority. This role supports a key initiative to ensure and optimize our partner data by actively engaging with existing partner merchants in Germany to update their master data.

Responsibilities

• Merchant Outreach: Actively contact partner merchants in Germany via phone to remind them of necessary data updates and motivate them to complete the process.
• Support & Education: Respond to merchant inquiries (primarily by phone, sometimes in writing), clearly explain regulatory requirements, and guide them through the update process.
• Case & Lead Management: Independently follow up on open cases, ensure merchants take action, and document progress.
• System Maintenance & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of conversations and merchant status in internal tools.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the German project team and hand over activated cases to relevant teams for final processing.

Requirements

• Communication & Phone Skills: Enjoy communicating, possess a positive and professional phone demeanor, and are comfortable with active customer outreach.
• Current Student: Enrolled in a degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Law, Communications, Business Administration).
• Service-Oriented with Structure: Highly customer-oriented, friendly, yet goal-oriented, reliable, and able to manage tickets effectively.
• Language Skills:
• Fluent German (C1/C2) for daily calls.
• Good English skills for internal communication.
• Additional languages such as Vietnamese, Turkish, Arabic, or others are a significant plus.
• Availability: Ideally available 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate lectures.
