About the Role:
We are seeking a Remote Project Engineer to drive the successful completion of innovative technology projects. This role is crucial for enhancing system capabilities, fostering collaboration, and delivering exceptional project solutions to clients by deeply understanding their technologies and applying a thoughtful problem-solving approach. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of experience in designing, testing, and deploying complete technology solutions.

Prior Experience:

• Proven track record in project execution and successful implementations.
• Strong technical proficiency in infrastructure components and systems.
• Expertise in configuring and deploying infrastructure changes, including firewalls, servers, networking, and wireless.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system optimization.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Client-focused mindset committed to ensuring client satisfaction.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a customer-centric approach.

Job Qualifications:

• Required: Experience working with remote teams.
• Hands-on or remote deployment and troubleshooting experience across various technologies (endpoints, servers, cloud, networks, etc.).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, at times high-pressure consulting environment.
• Plus: Experience with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools or ticketing platforms (e.g., ConnectWise).
• Plus: Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment supporting multiple clients.
• Plus: Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools (e.g., Kaseya, LabTech/ConnectWise Automate).

Required Areas of Expertise (Demonstrable experience in at least two):

• Windows Server Environment Setup: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V.
• Cloud Platform Deployments: O365 (SharePoint, Teams), Cloud Identity (Azure AD, EntraID), MDM (Intune, MaaS360).
• Email Migration and Support: Exchange to O365 migrations, BitTitan tools.
• Data Storage Device Setup and Deployment: NAS solutions (QNAP, Synology, Dell).

Preferred Areas of Expertise (Demonstrable experience in at least two):

• Hypervisor Setup and Configuration: VMWare ESXi, Nutanix Acropolis.
• Cloud Platform Deployments: QuickBooks Online, Apple MDM, Citrix ShareFile.
• Equipment Setup and Deployment: Network Switches (Cisco, Dell), Firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet), Wireless Access Points (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti).

Job Requirements:

• Home Office Setup:
• Computer: Min. 8GB RAM; Windows 11 (Intel i5/i7 8th gen+ or AMD Ryzen 5/7 2000+ series) or macOS 12+.
• Internet: Stable connection (min. 5 Mbps download/upload).
• Audio Equipment: Quality headset with noise cancellation.
• Mobile Device: Smartphone for Microsoft Authenticator app.
• Webcam: HD webcam.
• 2nd Monitor.
• UPS (if using a desktop).
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Full-time availability (40 hrs/week): 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST (Monday-Friday).
• Ability to pass online behavioral and cognitive assessments.
• Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or 3cx Basic Certified Engineer.
• PH Applicants: NBI Clearance required.

Compensation:

• Pay rate starts at $8.00/hour, varying by experience and location.
