Role Overview

Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our remote team. This role supports software development and system engineering teams by testing developed software within the AWS Cloud. Responsibilities include writing and executing test procedures, collecting test artifacts, and supporting pre- and post-testing preparation and reviews.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Implement and design server, network, and software configurations for cloud computing infrastructure and applications, focusing on DevOps principles.
• Monitor and test system performance.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
• Work directly with multiple teams and business units to understand business needs and translate them into IT/business capabilities.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and the development process as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required:
• BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines OR 4+ years of experience supporting AWS.
• Must be able to secure a Public Trust clearance.
• 4-6 years of experience administrating cloud computing, storage, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience using coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, Python, etc.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, containerization technologies (including building Docker Container Images), scripting languages, open standard data interchange formats, and job scheduling/management software tools (ECR, EKS, YAML, Python, JSON, OpenPBS).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS Lambda and "Serverless" systems.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
• Strong verbal and communication skills, with experience working with senior leadership and across organizational teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $130,000
