Location
The Role: Event Setup Specialist
Evaluate all incoming documents and data from medical providers, search for insurance and employer leads, update patient files in AcciClaim, and determine appropriate next steps based on available information and contractual or state requirements.
Your Day:
- Evaluate incoming data to identify leads and crucial information for working the event.
- Enter relevant new information into the patient record.
- Synthesize available information to determine needed data and appropriate next steps.
- Interact with data in various formats (paper, fax, electronic).
- Consistently achieve production standards and QA requirements.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Maintain confidential information (verbal, written, electronic).
- Adhere to data access and disclosure policies regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
You Will Be Successful If You Have:
- Ability to type 35 WPM with minimal errors.
- Effective communication skills with internal customers.
- Highly organized with a systematic approach to tasks.
- Ability to enter and process large amounts of information quickly and efficiently.
- Proven reliability, dependability, and trustworthiness, with the ability to work independently.
- Understanding of MRA departments and their information needs.
- Ability to alter workflow according to client contractual and state requirements.
- Working knowledge of auto and health payers, and patient accounting hierarchy.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to multiple levels of abstraction (big picture and detail).
- Working knowledge of computer functions (internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Word Perfect) and ability to learn new systems.
- Comfort working with applicable technologies (printer, scanner, postage machines, mail sorters, in-house systems).
