About the Role:
Are you eager to develop your expertise in an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering community? Join Ramboll's global M&A Environmental Due Diligence Practice and contribute to closing the gap to a sustainable future. As an Environmental Consultant, you will conduct Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) and environmental compliance reviews for complex industrial facilities. You will liaise with transaction teams, assist clients with post-transaction integration, and support environmental regulatory compliance and ESG/sustainability performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental due diligence reviews (Desktop and/or Phase I ESAs), including limited environmental compliance reviews, of industrial sites to support business transactions.
  • Provide general environmental compliance support across various regulatory program areas (hazardous waste, wastewater/stormwater, air emissions, etc.).
  • Assist with environmental plan preparation (SPCC, SWPPP), permit applications, and environmental reporting.
  • Travel to facilities for site visits (local and non-local).
  • Support multiple projects and maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist with the development of junior team members, contribute to proposals, and manage project aspects.

About You:

  • Minimum B.S. degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or B.S./B.A. in a relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, or biology). Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Preferably, 2+ years of experience in environmental consulting, including performing Phase I ESAs and environmental compliance reviews for industrial facilities. Experience with contaminated site investigation/remediation, emerging contaminants, health and safety, or ESG is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Phase I ESAs and limited environmental compliance reviews of complex industrial sites.
  • Ability to travel on short business trips (typically 1-2 days), local or throughout the USA. Driver’s license and air travel required.
  • Skilled in working in a fast-paced transactional environment, managing multiple tasks, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, flexible, willing to learn, grow, collaborate, and contribute actively to the project team.

Salary Transparency:
Anticipated base salary range: $69,222 - $86,528 per year. Actual compensation depends on location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. This position may be eligible for bonus, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Work Authorization:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No sponsorship is available.
