Salary: $176,000 - $255,000 USD (depending on location)

The Creative Serving team maintains mission-critical systems involved in serving every ad across Liftoff’s product line.

About the Creative Serving Team

This team operates foundational systems critical for Liftoff's function and growth, involving deep integrations with partner exchanges and requiring impeccable uptime. The team collaborates closely with internal Vungle Exchange and SDK teams to enable Liftoff Exclusive advertising capabilities.

As a Technical Manager on the Creative Serving team, You Will:

• Define, shape, and communicate the long-term creative serving strategy, vision, and roadmap.
• Translate business goals into team-level goals, working with cross-functional leaders.
• Collaborate with ML and product stakeholders to ensure creative serving infrastructure meets their needs with a high quality bar.
• Balance short-term and long-term velocity, driving continuous improvements.
• Set the standard for engineering culture, encouraging best practices and improving processes.
• Provide deep technical feedback on key projects.
• Grow the next generation of engineers and leaders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering; 2+ years managing engineers.
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering systems (design, implementation, testing, maintenance).
• Excellent technical judgment; ability to dive deep, review designs, navigate codebases, and provide substantive feedback.
• Solid engineering and coding skills.
• Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with Go and HTML/CSS/JS is a plus.
• Experience with ad tech is a solid plus.

Location

This role is eligible for full-time remote work in approved states: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, PA, TX, UT, and WA. Liftoff is a remote-first company with US hubs.

Travel Expectations

• Opportunities for in-person team gatherings (project meetings, regional meetups, company-wide events) are expected at least once per quarter.

Compensation

Base salary ranges depend on location:

• SF Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, Seattle, NYC: $205,000 - $255,000
• Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $188,000 - $234,000
• All other approved cities/towns: $176,000 - $219,000

Compensation includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits.
