About the Role

NECSWS Safety division is expanding and seeks a Senior Client Director to serve as the primary lead and contact for the Metropolitan Police account. This role is crucial for managing and growing the account by leveraging deep policing sector knowledge and developing high-level relationships. You will ensure the successful delivery of key programs by allocating appropriate resources.

Success will be measured by your ability to deliver revenue and margin, exceed client expectations, solve problems, and drive new business opportunities.

Job Activities & Responsibilities

Relationships:

  • Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key personnel within the Met Police, including senior leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with NEC team members in sales support and service lines to create effective customer solutions.
  • Manage the commercial and contractual relationship, including negotiation and leading procurement processes.
  • Position NEC as a trusted strategic partner and the preferred supplier.

Sales Opportunity Management:

  • Identify opportunities, manage the sales pipeline, and be accountable for revenue achievement within the account.
  • Drive proactive sales efforts to meet new business and renewal quotas.
  • Fully accountable for delivering all revenue streams within the Met Police account.
  • Identify customer needs, define program deliverables, and coordinate resources for successful delivery.
  • Take full financial ownership of the account, managing resources and costs with NEC colleagues.
  • Manage and resolve delivery issues, identifying related opportunities for NEC.
  • Understand customer pain points and facilitate swift solutions from NECSWS stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Deep knowledge of the UK Policing market, particularly the Met Police and associated stakeholders (e.g., Home Office, CPS).
  • Proven track record in business development and account development for significant key accounts.
  • Demonstrated experience in key stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to manage and shape sales opportunities from inception to completion with successful outcomes.
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills; ability to establish thought leadership.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Consistent over-achievement of annual sales targets in a quota-carrying role.
  • Experience delivering complex programs for public safety or mission-critical customers.
  • Ability to resolve account issues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High standard of written communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to complete activities within set deadlines and report any difficulties.
  • Competence in discussing Police Systems, Services, and Solutions.
