About the Role

Oscar Medical Group runs a Virtual Health Assessment (VHA) program that virtually engages Oscar Health Insurance members for evaluation and management visits. As the Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will oversee care delivered to our patients, working as part of a multidisciplinary team of APPs, Registered Nurses (RNs), and Medical Assistants. You will deliver world-class care using an innovative model, managing a panel of patients primarily virtually while coordinating in-person care when required. Additionally, you may supervise a team of APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care to their patient panels.

You will report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment.

Work Location

This is a remote position, open to candidates residing in: Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Florida; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas, or Virginia. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care via telemedicine (video, phone, messaging) while working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide supervision to a group of APPs (NPs and PAs) delivering care in a virtual environment and support their professional and clinical growth.
  • Serve as the clinical escalation point for the care delivery team (APPs, RNs, MAs).
  • Support the development of clinical guidelines, continuous improvement of the care model, and participate in collaborative projects with Operations and Product team members as a clinical leader.
  • Be accountable for the quality of care of your patients.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have full practice licensure in good standing in Florida plus at least three of the following states: Arizona; Arkansas; California; Colorado; District of Columbia; Georgia; Illinois; Massachusetts; Michigan; Nevada; New Hampshire; New Jersey; New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Pennsylvania; Texas, or Virginia.
  • DNP, FNP, ENP, or PA from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification (NCCPA or AANP or ANCC).
  • 5+ years of primary/urgent care experience.
  • 1+ year of experience delivering care in a community-based/in-person setting.

Bonus Points

  • Spanish language fluency.
  • Prior telehealth experience.
  • 1+ years of experience supervising teams, including other clinical staff (NP and PA supervision).
  • Experience being metric-driven in a practice setting related to population health management, quality benchmarks, and productivity.

Pay Transparency

Final offer amounts are determined by factors including relevant skills, education, and experience.
