Vice President of Logistics & Warehousing

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group and a leading provider of manufacturing solutions, is seeking a strategic Vice President of Logistics & Warehousing. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations & Supply Chain, this executive role will oversee the full lifecycle of inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing operations, carrier partnerships, trade compliance, import operations, and distribution network strategy across MISUMI Americas, while also partnering with global supply regions.

About the Role:

This is a remote role requiring frequent travel (25-40%) to MISUMI warehouses, customer locations, and operational hubs. The VP will define and execute the Americas logistics and warehousing strategy, optimize transportation networks, lead trade compliance, and build scalable processes. You will lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team, championing continuous improvement and the adoption of AI and emerging technologies.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute Americas logistics strategy, lead and mentor a high-performing team, serve as senior logistics voice in executive planning, build a culture of continuous improvement, and champion AI/technology adoption.
• Warehousing Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations across all distribution centers, drive KPI performance, lead facility projects, optimize WMS and automation, and ensure Business Continuity Plans.
• Transportation & Carrier Management: Negotiate and manage carrier relationships, design and optimize transportation lanes, oversee last-mile delivery, manage freight audit and claims, and leverage AI for route optimization.
• Trade Compliance & Import Operations: Own end-to-end import operations, ensure compliance with CBP regulations, manage HTS classifications, and maintain accurate import documentation.
• Global Supply Region Logistics Enablement: Serve as a logistics subject matter expert, identify and address performance gaps, share best practices, and partner cross-functionally to ensure end-to-end supply chain continuity.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of progressive supply chain, logistics, or warehousing leadership experience.
• 5+ years in a VP-level or equivalent senior executive role.
• Proven track record managing multi-site distribution center networks at scale.
• Expertise in WMS, TMS, and ERP systems.
• Experience in B2B industrial, manufacturing, or e-commerce fulfillment environments.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L ownership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams across multiple geographies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Available to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or advanced degree.
• APICS CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with high-SKU-count catalog businesses.
• Deep experience in international trade compliance and import operations.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML or advanced analytics tools.
• Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
• Experience deploying automation or robotics.

Salary Range:

• $200,000 – $255,000 base salary per year.
• Variable compensation potential of $30,000 - $55,000.
