About the Role:

The Associate Director of Medical Affairs will provide strategic and scientific expertise to support Harrow's portfolio and pipeline. You will play a key role in executing Medical Affairs strategy and tactics, acting as the VP of Medical Affairs' deputy and serving as a subject-matter expert for assigned products while maintaining expertise across the entire portfolio. This role requires a balance of scientific knowledge, organization, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Medical Strategy and Operations:
  • Develop and execute medical strategies aligned with corporate objectives and therapeutic areas.
  • Maintain therapeutic area expertise across the Harrow ophthalmic portfolio.
  • Contribute medical and competitive insights into brand and lifecycle planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional medical projects and manage competing priorities.
  • Support and maintain departmental processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Evidence Generation & Data Dissemination:
  • Analyze Investigator Initiated Study grant requests.
  • Oversee the dissemination of scientific data through publications, congress presentations, advisory boards, and symposia.
  • Support evidence-generation and key-brand scientific initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Review medical, regulatory, and legal materials for scientific accuracy and balance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), investigators, medical societies, and external experts.
  • Represent the company at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and medical education events.
  • Provide scientific and medical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Terminal Degree (MD/DO/OD/PhD/PharmD) preferred.
  • Extensive ophthalmic experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a strategic Medical Affairs or Marketing role required.
  • Extensive experience working on promotional and internal review teams (PRC/MRL) required.
  • Experience working with broad product portfolios highly preferred.
  • Experience in scientific presentations and medical writing preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of product development, regulatory requirements, payer landscape, and life cycle management preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and foster credible relationships with Medical Experts.
  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare System, research procedures, ICH guidelines, GCP, and other ethical guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret scientific/clinical literature.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, understanding, and communicating).

Position Type:

  • Remote – Must live in the United States.

Travel:

  • Up to 30%
  • May include early/late meetings and attendance at scientific meetings on holidays and weekends.
