About the Role:
This role is designed for positive and motivated professionals seeking a career change into property and HOA community management. Prior experience in HOA/Property management is not required, as industry-leading training will be provided over one year, with mentorship and a path to becoming an industry expert in three years. The Community Manager is the face of the organization, acting as a liaison between HOA boards, homeowners, and vendors. It requires a high level of ownership, customer service, vendor management, and portfolio management.

Typical Backgrounds:
Retail leadership, restaurants, hospitality, administrative roles, department managers, office management, operations, and similar fields requiring proactive effort and decision-making.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Live our Same Day Response Policy.
  • Engage with board members and homeowners.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for a portfolio of associations.
  • Plan and facilitate association board and annual meetings.
  • Manage vendor relations, including bidding and project management.
  • Consult with other departments to support communities.
  • Handle risk management, insurance, and litigation support.
  • Prepare budgets and manage association finances.
  • Be available for after-hours emergencies.

  • Team player, coachable, highly organized, accountable, and a fantastic multi-tasker.

Skills You Need:

  • Approximately 8+ years of solid work experience.
  • Ability to attend or run evening meetings (usually 30-40 per year).
  • High-level organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to learn business computer systems quickly.
  • Strong customer-friendly and informative communication skills.
  • Some experience and knowledge of financial statements and budgets.
  • Comfortable with public speaking.
  • Great conflict management skills.
  • Experience with gathering bids for large projects and managing them.

Training Program:

  • Assigned Community Manager Mentor for on-the-job guidance.
  • Learning from a "tribe" of experienced community managers.
  • Completion of a unique in-house, web-based learning academy.
  • Apprised of legal changes and seasonal topics.
