About the Department

The Cloudflare APAC sales organization operates as an integrated revenue system, with Account Executives, Customer Engineers, and other sales functions working collaboratively across the customer lifecycle. This system is supported by an AI-embedded operating model, where human critical thinking, judgment, and trust are paramount in customer relationships.

About This Role

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving significant growth by acquiring and expanding a portfolio of assigned customers within your territory. You will need a strong blend of sales acumen and technical understanding to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical buyers. This role requires you to drive revenue velocity through accurate forecasting, proactive pipeline management, and consistently exceeding targets. You are an operator who uses AI as a force multiplier, prioritizes customer outcomes, and demonstrates curiosity, judgment, and high agency.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own and execute a comprehensive territory plan to consistently achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.
  • Cultivate long-term strategic relationships with key accounts and partners, leading executive-level transformation narratives.
  • Leverage top partners for co-selling opportunities and drive regular forecast & pipeline cadences.
  • Understand customer network architectures and translate Cloudflare’s solutions to drive successful platform sales, enabling clients to secure and scale AI-driven workloads.
  • Manage contract negotiations and structure platform-level commercial commitments.
  • Stay engaged through onboarding, adoption, and renewal, partnering with Customer Engineers and Professional Services.
  • Proactively build and manage a robust sales pipeline using internal tools, AI-assisted research, and various pipeline sources.
  • Maintain high standards in pipeline discipline, CRM hygiene, and forecasting accuracy.

Required Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience selling technology solutions in high-growth digital-native firms.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and exceeding multi-million dollar quota targets.
  • Proficient in discovery, positioning, competitive selling, negotiation, closing, and land-and-expand strategies.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking, cloud security technology, and enterprise infrastructure adaptation for automated data workflows.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and value selling skills.
  • Proficiency in modern sales software, customer data environments, and core systems (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, G-suite).
  • Exhibits critical thinking, judgment under uncertainty, honest risk assessment, genuine empathy, trust-based relationship building, and visible curiosity.
  • Willingness to actively engage with and experiment with AI tools.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Cultural fluency for assigned markets.
  • Cantonese or Mandarin language proficiency is required for working with local Hong Kong customers.
