The Opportunity: Paid AEO Practice Lead

We are establishing a new service line: Paid AEO. As AI answer engines transform product discovery, paid placement within them presents a vast, open opportunity. This practice sits closely aligned with our core AEO expertise. We are seeking a senior leader to build this practice from inception, prove its value with our clients, and grow it into a thriving team.

What You'll Do:

• Establish and own Graphite's Paid AEO practice, initially focusing on ChatGPT Ads, Reddit Ads, and YouTube Ads.
• Expand the practice into the broader paid landscape, developing offerings for paid search, paid social, and affiliates.
• Drive cross-selling of Paid AEO services to our existing client base and secure new business.
• Build, hire, and lead the paid team as the practice scales.
• Collaborate directly with leadership to shape the strategy and positioning of the function.
• Present strategies, insights, and results to client executives, effectively showcasing our capabilities.

What Expertise You'll Need:

• 8+ years of experience leading paid media (paid search, paid social, or programmatic) at scale, either in-house or at a top agency, with demonstrable results.
• A proven track record of building new functions or teams from scratch, not just optimizing existing ones.
• Senior executive presence with the ability to win and retain large accounts.
• A bias for action and comfort with ambiguity, as Paid AEO is a nascent field.
• Strong data fluency and command of growth marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMRush, Ahrefs).
