We are seeking an AI Product Lead (m/f/d) to take ownership of a highly technical and commercially significant AI initiative within a leading B2B mobility and payment solutions provider. This company operates in over 50 countries with approximately 2,700 employees and processes €19 billion in transactions. They are heavily investing in data and AI to enhance their market position.
Your Role:
You will own the full Sales Models portfolio, including Next Best Action, Churn prediction, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), and related use cases. You will lead a cross-functional team of Data Scientists and Engineers, defining the roadmap, technical standards, and business cases. Your responsibility will be to translate model outputs into C-level decisions and operational realities, and to incorporate field insights back into model improvements. This is a leadership role where you will define what gets built, in what order, and why.
In this role, you'll:
- Own the product roadmap for the Sales Models portfolio: NBA engine, Churn integration, CLV modeling, and adjacent use cases such as cross-/upsell logic and share-of-wallet estimation.
- Lead a cross-functional team of 3-5 Data Scientists and 1-2 Engineers with full functional authority, including technical direction, prioritization, sprint cadence, quality gates, and delivery.
- Drive the integration of sales models into operative systems (Dynamics 365, Power BI) and manage the feedback loop between field sales, CRM data, and model iteration, translating market signals into systematic improvements.
- Translate Go-To-Market (GTM) requirements into model specifications and communicate model constraints as business-actionable trade-offs to senior leadership, while establishing the governance infrastructure for scalable portfolio sustainability.
Your Profile:
- 5-7 years of experience at the intersection of Data Science, AI Product Management, and Engineering, ideally combining experience from a top-tier consultancy data science practice, a Lead Data Scientist role with team responsibility, or an AI/ML PM role at a scale-up.
- Technically proficient (Python, SQL, ML frameworks, cloud data infrastructure) and capable of credibly leading Data Scientists, including setting model architecture direction, reviewing feature engineering, and stepping in to code when necessary.
- A strong business acumen, focusing on business cases and revenue impact rather than just model accuracy, with the ability to clearly communicate trade-offs to both commercial leaders and technical teams.
- Fluent in German and English, with a willingness to travel within Europe 1-2 times per month.
- This position is based near Düsseldorf, with a preference for at least three days per week on-site.
