About the Role

Join our UK&I Accounting and Controls team as a Cost Controller UKI. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining a robust financial controls and governance framework within a fast-paced, regulated FTSE100 environment. This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ideal for a finance professional looking to expand their experience. You will report to the Director of Accounting and Controls.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure effective capital deployment through capex forecasting, governance, and analysis (SPCs / PIRs / Athena).
  • Coordinate reporting to the Experian Limited Board, including dividend and wind-down reserve calculations.
  • Collaborate with senior partners across GFS, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Group Financial Reporting to achieve robust compliance and governance for an ICFR-compliant, FCA-regulated entity.
  • Support the integrity of financial reporting across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, capex, depreciation, and below EBIT items, including conducting balance sheet reviews and presenting to the Regional CFO.
  • Ensure a smooth year-end close and efficient audit processes, with a specific focus on journals and intangibles.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • A qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with progressive post-qualified experience, ideally with a background from a Big 4 firm.
  • Solid technical accounting skills with the ability to research and formulate sound conclusions.
  • Proven ability to provide compelling recommendations and influence senior leaders (both finance and non-finance).
  • Experience managing projects end-to-end, demonstrating strong results in organization and deadline management.
  • Experience in simplifying and conveying complex issues clearly.
