About the Role

Join Evelyn Partners' Service Protection team in Liverpool as a Service Protection Analyst. This role is instrumental in supporting the delivery of safe, controlled, and high-quality changes into live service by providing operational governance across Release Management, Service Transition, and the Change Advisory Board (CAB). You will act as a key control point to ensure operational readiness, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with service management standards, ultimately protecting live service stability and enhancing service performance.

Responsibilities

As a Service Protection Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Release Management Support:
  • Support the coordination and execution of releases across multiple systems and vendors.
  • Validate release readiness criteria (testing, rollback, dependencies, documentation, environments).
  • Track and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies prior to release.
  • Support structured release cycles and post-release validation/early life support (ELS).
  • Contribute to reducing release-related incidents and rework.
  • Service Transition (New & Changing Services):
  • Support the onboarding of new services and major changes into Business As Usual (BAU) support.
  • Ensure operational readiness criteria are met, including support models, SLAs, documentation, monitoring, and access.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Previous experience in IT Service Management (ITIL), with a focus on Change, Release, or Transition.
  • A solid understanding of ITIL practices and service lifecycle governance.
  • The ability to assess risk, apply structured challenge, and support governance decisions.
  • Experience working in multi-system, multi-vendor environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data for decision-making.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation v4 certification.
  • Further ITIL qualifications are a plus.
