About the Role
Join Evelyn Partners' Service Protection team in Glasgow as a Service Protection Analyst. This position is vital for supporting the delivery of safe, controlled, and high-quality changes into live service by providing operational governance across Release Management, Service Transition, and the Change Advisory Board (CAB). You will serve as a key control point, ensuring operational readiness, mitigating risks, and upholding compliance with service management standards to protect live service stability and improve performance.

Responsibilities
As a Service Protection Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Release Management Support:
- Assist in the coordination and execution of releases across various systems and vendors.
- Validate release readiness criteria, including testing, rollback plans, dependencies, documentation, and environments.
- Track and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies proactively before release.
- Support structured release cycles and post-release validation/early life support (ELS).
- Contribute to minimizing release-related incidents and rework.
- Service Transition (New & Changing Services):
- Support the onboarding of new services and significant changes into Business As Usual (BAU) support.
- Ensure that operational readiness criteria are met, covering support models, SLAs, documentation, monitoring, and access controls.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Previous experience in IT Service Management (ITIL), preferably within Change, Release, or Transition functions.
- A strong understanding of ITIL practices and service lifecycle governance.
- The ability to effectively assess risk, apply structured challenge, and support governance decisions.
- Experience working within multi-system, multi-vendor environments.
- Proficient analytical skills for data interpretation and presentation to inform decision-making.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- ITIL Foundation v4 certification.
- Additional ITIL qualifications are considered a plus.
