Your Mission:

  • Stay Hands-On: Actively contribute to the codebase, prototype, implement, and review critical features, leading by example with high-quality code.
  • Scale What Matters: Leverage asynchronous architectures and message-driven patterns (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, pub/sub) to improve latency, responsiveness, and decoupling.
  • Ensure Consistency and Integrity: Define and implement patterns for data consistency, message ordering, and reliable state transitions.
  • Be a Multiplier: Mentor engineers across teams, level up engineering capabilities, and foster a culture of technical excellence.
  • Raise the Bar: Promote best practices in testing, observability, CI, and secure software development.
  • Transform at Scale: Actively reduce technical debt and drive modernization strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in asynchronous processing and message-driven systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ, pub/sub).
  • Deep technical fluency in system design, performance tuning, concurrency, and consistency models.
  • Strong coding skills in modern languages (Java, Go, Python, TypeScript).
  • Familiarity with service-oriented and event-driven architectures, eventual consistency, and data synchronization.
  • Mastery of CI/CD, test automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Hands-on experience with secure coding practices and awareness of compliance/resilience.
  • Strong observability mindset (metrics, logs, traces, incident handling).
  • Fluent in English & French.

Leadership Competencies:

  • Ability to lead technical direction across multiple teams without positional authority.
  • High judgment in balancing engineering purity with speed, business outcomes, and risk.
  • Experience mentoring Senior Engineers and guiding org-level architectural decisions.
