The Role: Senior Systems Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and computer systems. You will actively participate in research and development to continuously improve our IT capabilities and meet evolving business needs. This role involves identifying and resolving IT infrastructure issues to prevent work disruptions. You will provide expert technical support to multiple clients, ensuring their systems are secure and perform optimally. The primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows-based systems and infrastructure, working closely with our IT team to ensure system stability, security, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain server and cloud-based computing solutions.
• Provide expert technical support to clients, resolving system-related issues.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, identifying areas for enhancement.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in systems engineering.
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge, including firewalls and best practices for system security.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Note: While this is a remote position, some work will be performed onsite at client locations throughout the NYC metro area.

Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: At least five years of proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
