The Opportunity: Payroll Tax Analyst

Join our Payroll team as a Payroll Tax Analyst, reporting to the Global Employment Tax Director. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing payroll tax compliance across the NAM & LATAM regions (Brazil & Mexico) within our rapidly scaling global company. You will collaborate closely with Payroll Operations, Employee Experience, and Accounting teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for NAM & LATAM payroll, equity, benefits, global mobility, and reporting compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all payroll tax issues, including agency notices, tax ID filings, audit support, employee support, and W2 corrections.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to resolve employee inquiries within SLA timeframes.
  • Record, monitor, and resolve agency tax notices & tracers with third-party providers and government agencies, validating all agency responses.
  • Manage internal and external payroll tax audits.
  • Collaborate with global payroll operations team members to ensure timely and accurate payroll tax withholding and compliance.
  • Identify, quantify, record, and monitor payroll tax risks and exposures.
  • Research and stay current with payroll tax compliance laws and regulations, communicating the impact of changes to the business.
  • Effectively collaborate with Payroll, HR, Compensation & Benefits, Legal, Accounting, FP&A, and business units on cross-functional payroll matters.
  • Assist with Year-End processing and closing.
  • Proactively monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely tax filing and reporting.
  • Maintain meaningful metrics associated with Payroll Tax.
  • Focus on process improvement and development to streamline payroll tax compliance across the organization.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of payroll tax reporting and compliance experience in a multi-state / large corporation.
  • 3+ years of experience with ADP.
  • Experience with payrolls larger than 3,000 employees.
  • Good understanding of equity taxation (RSUs and Stock Options).
  • Understanding of employment tax rules, including regulatory and compliance matters related to expatriate taxes and payroll/employment taxation.
  • Experience with payroll tax audits and compliance.
